Emiliano Gusmini
CEO & Software Developer — Magnetica Development
Emiliano Gusmini (born 1973) is the owner and CEO of Magnetica Development, as well as the technical heart of the company. A programmer since the age of 12, he has lived through more than three decades of computing, mastering many languages and technologies — from business software to the frontiers of augmented and virtual reality.
His developer roots reach back to the microcomputer era: in 1991 he was credited as programmer and sound-FX author of F1 GP Circuits for the Atari ST, a title later recovered and preserved. With Magnetica he went on to specialise in mobile apps, custom software and immersive AR/VR solutions for companies.
In 2014 he developed Arkitek, an augmented-reality software for architecture — designed to shape building projects by literally “walking inside them” with simple hand gestures — built in collaboration with the US start-up Meta, a pioneer of AR smart glasses. Arkitek was selected among the projects presented at the Augmented World Expo in Silicon Valley, where Emiliano showcased it in front of the world's augmented-reality leaders, as reported by Corriere della Sera.
Away from the office, he is passionate about Gunpla model building, engines and fishing.
